Terms of Service

Version 2026-06 · The agreement between your organization and Pillar.

1. Acceptance

By creating an organization and using Pillar, the person signing up confirms they are authorized to bind their organization to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

2. The service

Pillar is a software platform for monitoring athlete wellness, training load and injury, and managing safe return-to-play. It is a tool to support qualified staff — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, for obtaining any consents required from athletes or their guardians, for keeping account credentials secure, and for using the platform in compliance with all laws applicable to your organization (including those governing student records and health information).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service: no unauthorized access to other organizations' data, no probing or disrupting the platform's security, no automated scraping beyond your own API tokens, and no use that would violate the privacy or safety of athletes.

5. Data ownership & privacy

Your organization owns the data it enters and acts as the data controller for it. Pillar processes that data only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Availability

We work to keep Pillar available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance and updates may occur.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pillar is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made by your staff. Pillar is a decision-support tool; clinical and return-to-play decisions remain the responsibility of your qualified personnel.

8. Termination

You may stop using Pillar and request deletion of your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, data is handled per the Privacy Policy and your retention settings.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by a new version number, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
